Below is an example of a Micro Die Stamping Plate that is used to produce electrical components used in smaller and smaller electronics. This extremely small slots (less that 40 microns wide) in this component were made possible through the combination of precision model-based manufacturing and high resolution 3D metrology that is used every day at EDM Intelligent Solutions. Our in-house metrology experts supported the manufacturing of this ultra precision micro die stamping plate with both dimensional and surface roughness measurements taken using the advanced 3D Metrology Systems and 3D Metrology Services also offered by EDMIS.
