Our team at EDM Intelligent Solutions utilizes unique 3D Metrology equipment to quickly and accurately measure components with intricate geometry of all shapes and sizes. With our 3D Metrology Services, we are able to offer our customers in-depth, non-contact, and non-destructive measurements of almost any shape, size, and form. 

Capturing the surface and creating a 3D dataset of proppant embedment samples allows us to examine specific locations for surface texture and bearing area curve parameters. This approach is essential for analyzing the behavior of proppants when injected into rock during hydraulic fracturing for the oil drilling industry.

The surface area texture and bearing area curve inspection and 3D measurements of this component were completed using our MVi5 3D Metrology Center.
