Intelligent Measurement Solutions for All Shapes and Sizes

The team at EDM Intelligent Solutions utilizes optical 3D Metrology Systems to quickly and accurately measure components with a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and forms. This XRD analyzer was scanned so that a few of the main geometric features could be analyzed. These features included radii, angles, and distances. The scan data for this tool was captured using the MVi5 3D Metrology Center that was developed by the EDM Intelligent Solutions team.

This image displays a 3D scan of a mechanical component, likely a bracket or a mounting plate, with superimposed measurement data. The scan highlights two identical or similar parts, one above the other. Several measurement callouts are visible, indicating distances between specific planes on the component. For instance, 'Distance 4' measures the gap between 'Plane 5' and 'Plane 3', showing a nominal value of +0.6500000 and an actual value of +0.6499893, with a deviation of -0.0000107. Similarly, 'Distance 3' measures between 'Plane 12' and 'Plane 11', with nominal and actual values of +0.2345000 and +0.2344404 respectively, and a deviation of -0.0000596. The green lines indicate the measurement vectors, and the labels 'Plane X' denote the reference points for these measurements. The overall presentation suggests a quality control or engineering analysis process, likely verifying the dimensional accuracy of the manufactured part against its design specifications.

The image displays a 3D scan of a mechanical component, with four angle measurements indicated. Angles 1 and 2, located on the lower part of the component, show deviations of -0.06 and -0.04 respectively from the nominal value of +134.00 degrees. Angles 3 and 4, on the upper part, show deviations of +1.06 and +1.10 respectively from the same nominal value. The green lines highlight the measured angles on the component, and the tables provide the nominal, actual, and deviation values for each angle.

This image displays a 3D scan of a metal component, likely a part of a mechanical assembly, with multiple circular features highlighted by green outlines. Each feature is accompanied by a data box indicating "Radius Measurement" with "Nominal", "Actual", and "Dev. Check" values. For instance, "Radius Measurement 8" shows a nominal radius of +0.0975000, an actual radius of +0.0976330, and a deviation of +0.0001330. The component has a complex shape with several interconnected arms, each terminating in a circular hole, suggesting precision engineering and manufacturing processes. The overall presentation indicates a quality control or metrology report, verifying the dimensional accuracy of the component against its design specifications.
