3D Metrology Services – Carbide Sphere with Micro Through Hole

At EDM Intelligent Solutions, our high-resolution 3D scans of piece parts allow for form measurement down to the µm scale. With our 3D Metrology services we’re able to offer our customers in-depth, non-contact and non-destructive measurements of almost any shape, size, and form. Using our automated 3D capture and merge, an array of parts can be scanned and inspected with the touch of a button.

Below is an example of non-contact form and surface deviation inspection. Critical surfaces are compared against the nominal CAD model to identify imperfections in the material. The automated inspection and 3D measurements of this component were completed using our MVi5 3D Metrology Center.
