The team at EDM Intelligent Solutions utilizes unique 3D metrology equipment to quickly and accurately measure components with tight tolerances and intricate geometry, including gears of all shapes and sizes. Evaluation of the full 360° gear tooth profile of this micro gear was completed using our Form Measurement services. Everything from comparison to CAD, profile extraction and measurement of gear dimensions is possible with a single dataset captured on our MVi5 3D Metrology Center. Additionally, profile roughness evaluations were completed on several gear teeth to verify Rz compliance to design (mean peak to valley height of roughness profile).
